WHO ARE WE?

The ARANEA FOOTBALL CLUB Specialized Sports Foundation is an NGO founded in Ecuador in 2020 with the goal of promoting well-being and happiness for children and communities living in socially vulnerable contexts. Through socio-sportive sessions, the foundation aims to positively foster 5 core values:

Respect, joy, responsibility, creativity, and teamwork are part of every intervention. Through play and sports, the ARANEA FOOTBALL CLUB Specialized Sports Foundation has embedded itself in the heart of the neighborhoods and communities of the Pedro Pablo Gómez Parish.

WHAT DO WE DO?

The ARANEA FOOTBALL CLUB Specialized Sports Foundation is embedded in the heart of the neighborhoods and communities, using their sports spaces to carry out interventions and foster community building.

On the field, socio-sportive workshops are developed, but in its surroundings, teamwork and group cohesion are built within the community. While the children enjoy playing, neighborhood leaders are formed, who will become role models for the younger generation. Through Neighborhood Coordination Tables and Football in the Family, adults are encouraged to participate in the space. With the community's commitment, safe public spaces are created for the development of children.

WHERE DO WE WORK?

Two years ago, in the city of Jipijapa, in the Pedro Pablo Gómez Parish, in neighborhoods and communities such as San Jacinto, Bajo Grande, El Azufrado, and El Corosito, the dream of transforming realities through football and play began. Today, there are 5 communities in Pedro Pablo Gómez, and over 80 children who are part of our projects.
